Summary
I would never have made it as a salesperson and sales instructor for the past 20 years had it not been for two men, Zig Ziglar and the Apostle Paul. Zig Ziglar is somewhat of an obvious influence as a world-renowned author and speaker in the sales genre. Far less has been written about the apostle Paul, who I believe is the greatest salesman the world has ever known. This book is about how the apostle Paul employed sales strategies thousands of years ahead of his time. I give modern-day examples of how these strategies still sell to millions today.

Part I: Survival
Even though it may seem like it at first, few salespeople have ever risked a public stoning for peddling their goods. Nonetheless, only 1 in 10 make it past two years. Against all odds, Paul survived the threat of death, privation, starvation, and public lashings to emerge as the champion for the Christian faith. Paul’s trials and tribulations provide a wonderful metaphoric juxtaposition of what a salesperson must overcome to survive in this business. I have provided this framework for my readers.

Part II: Growth (Scaling Small)
The apostle Paul went through more than one miraculous transformation. The most popular is on the road to Damascus, where he saw the Lord and was converted to Christianity. Less known is Paul’s encounter with a master mentor, motivator, and coach who changed the course of Paul’s ministry. After this encounter, Paul returned to his hometown of Tarsus and began a ministry there. With the help of his mentor, he perfected his model in Antioch and prepared it to scale to the rest of the world. 

This book will demonstrate how the Apostle Paul:

  • Reached the world in a way never before seen using the Roman Superhighway
  • Kept his message alive when almost everyone wanted him dead
  • Had a chance encounter with a master motivator and coach who would change his life nearly as much as the encounter with the Lord.
